The Elgin Experience Monthly Movie Meeting for August 11, 2009
The monthly movie meeting is on Tuesday August 11, 2009 - Marcus Theater 111 S. Randall Road Elgin, IL.
Doors open at 9:30 am - Meeting begins at 10:00 am.
Jerry Turnquist - Author, Teacher and Historian, will be taking us back in time as he presents “Made In Elgin”.
The movies we will be offering this month are:
- Julie & Julia - Rated PG-13, 2 hrs. 3 min. - Genre: Drama
Cast: Meryl Streep, Amy Adams, Stanley Tucci
- Funny People - Rated R, 2 hrs. 16 min. - Genre: Comedy
Cast: Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann
- The Ugly Truth - Rated R, 1 hr. 35 min. - Genre - Comedy
Cast: Katherine Heigl, Gerard Butler, Eric Winter
Our Classic Film this month is the 1944:
Arsenic and Old Lace - A comedy/thriller with Cary Grant, Priscilla Lane, Raymond Massey, Jack Carson, Peter Lorre, James Gleason. Runtime: 1 hr. 58 min.
We will be collecting donation items of canned goods and paper products for the Centro de Informacion.
Membership is NOT required to attend, so please bring a friend along and enjoy a cup of coffee, donut and the chance to be one of our several door prize winners. The cost is $2.00 per person.
