The Elgin Experience Monthly Movie Meeting for April 13, 2010

The monthly movie meeting is on Tuesday April 13, 2010 - Marcus Theatre 111 S. Randall Road Elgin, IL

Doors open at 9:15 AM - Meeting begins at 10:00 AM

We will be collecting donation items for The Lighthouse Food Pantry.  Canned goods and paper products will be greatly appreciated in these times of need.

The joint Legendary Films/Warner Bros. production focuses on Perseus (Sam Worthington), the mortal hero made to carry out a series of quests by the gods in order to win the hand of the imprisoned princess Andromeda (Alexa Davalos). Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Mads Mikkelsen, and Gemma Arterton co-star.

Don and his less famous partner Cosmo have worked their way to the top the hard way, through vaudeville, stunt work etc. When “The Jazz Player” arrives and sound changes everything in the movie business, Don is ready. Not so Lina, whose shrill voice makes a mockery of the musical that their new film has been made into, despite the best efforts of a voice coach. Aspiring actress Kathy Selden saves the film by dubbing Lina’s voice, but Don is in trouble when he starts to fall in love with her.

The monthly movie meeting is on Tuesday March 9, 2010 - Marcus Theatre 111 S. Randall Road Elgin, IL

Our presentation will be by Linda Tischler (Concert Artist) and Eric Abernethy (Wellness Expert) of the Music Education Centers of America, Inc.  They will be speaking on “The Joy of Music Making”.

We will be collecting donation items of canned goods and paper products for Centro de Informacion.
